Oostvaardersplassen
A large marsh area with reed beds, rugged grasslands, ponds, surrounded by forests: a true bird paradise of international value. Those are the Oostvaardersplassen, part of National Park Nieuw Land. In this wetland rich in birds, man and nature work together in a special way. Along the way you will encounter heck cattle, konik horses and red deer. With their grazing they keep the grasslands open in a natural way. And they in turn require care and management.
